Elandon Roberts Expected To Re-Sign With Dolphins
2 years agoESPN's Field Yates believes the Miami Dolphins will re-sign impending free-agent linebacker Elandon Roberts this offseason. The Dolphins have a lot of work to do to improve their defense, and Roberts should be a priority to retain. The 28-year-old was a team captain and is a physical enforcer and smart blitzer. He's certainly due a raise on his current deal of $2.75 million after totaling 104 total tackles and a career-high 4.5 sacks in 2022. In his three years with the Dolphins, Roberts has 143 solo tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 12 QB hits, seven sacks, an interception, four passes defensed, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 47 regular season games. With better injury luck in 2023, Miami's defense should recover, especially if they re-sign Roberts.
