Edward Cabrera Won't Face Restrictions on Tuesday
Edward Cabrera (elbow) is well-rested and ready to go for his start on Tuesday against the visiting San Diego Padres, and no restrictions will be placed on him as far as pitch count or inning limit, per Kevin Barral of Fish on First. Cabrera was pulled from his final start of the first half of the season on July 11 against the Baltimore Orioles due to elbow discomfort, but tests didn't reveal anything alarming, and the 27-year-old appears ready to go after resting up during the All-Star break last week. Before his last start against Baltimore, he hadn't given up more than two runs in 11 straight starts. The Dominican hurler enters the second half with a 3.61 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 86 K's in 82 1/3 innings over his 16 starts. Don't be afraid to roll with him against a Padres offense that has had its share of struggles in 2025.
