Eddie Rosario 2019 Outlook: More Patience, More Power, Please
6 years agoWith Miguel Sano posting fall-away numbers last year, 27-year-old outfielder Eddie Rosario was perhaps the most exciting and powerful bat in the Twins lineup. In his fourth year with the club, Rosario finished with a .288/.323/.479 line, good for a second consecutive season of 20-plus HRs. After an encouraging year in 2017, Rosario flashed even more promise last season as he now enters his prime. By May, Rosario had built a serious All-Star case slugging 9 HRs and 34 RBI, but the biggest improvement came in the strikeout column. Known for his wild swings and lack of patience at the plate, Rosario cut the K’s down to 17.6%, a career low. Fantasy owners should also expect big things from Rosario in the runs column this season. The addition of Nelson Cruz could see Rosario hitting third in Minnesota’s lineup, one spot ahead of the veteran DH. With his current ADP of 87, Rosario figures as a great sixth to seventh-round steal.
