1 year agoGetting the ball to running back D'Andre Swift in space has been an early focal point in training camp this summer for the Philadelphia Eagles offense. The Athletic's Bo Wulf writes that Swift brings a needed element to an already high-powered offense in 2023. Despite their success in 2022, the Eagles mostly ignored RBs as pass-catchers out of the backfield and finished last in the NFL in RB targets and 31st in EPA per play when they targeted the RB. Swift's speed has been on display in camp, but it's a crowded backfield with Kenneth Gainwell, Rashaad Penny and Boston Scott also involved. The 24-year-old Swift looks like Philly's No. 1 backfield option, but with so many mouths to feed in this offense, that might not translate that well in fantasy terms. Regardless, these positive reports on Swift will raise his PPR stock as an RB2/3.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
