Dylan Floro Blows The Game On Thursday
4 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Dylan Floro blew the game on Thursday, taking the loss and a blown save. Floro came in to protect a 3-2 lead over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the eighth inning, but allowed three runs on two hits and two walks while only recording two outs. It was an ugly outing for Floro, but some of the blame has to be placed on manager Don Mattingly, who left him out there to flounder in a close game when he was clearly struggling. One batter too late, Floro was relieved and Richard Bleier came in to wrap up the inning. Floro had an excellent start to the season, but he's had some rough outings lately, likely due to bullpen mismanagement and overuse. He could slide down the bullpen hierarchy a bit with one more bad outing.
