Dylan Bundy Leaves Game With Illness
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy (illness) left his start against the New York Yankees on Monday after throwing up behind the mound with two outs in the second inning. Bundy allowed two runs on four hits (one home run) in 1 2/3 innings before getting sick and having to leave the game. The 28-year-old right-hander has not been able to live up to his great 2020 season in his second year with the team, as he entered his start on Monday with a 1-7 record, 6.68 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 60/20 K/BB in his 13 starts over 63 1/3 innings pitched. Fantasy managers expecting more of the 3.29 ERA and 1.03 WHIP that he showed in last year's shortened season have been sorely disappointed. Coming into this one, Bundy had allowed 10 earned runs in 12 innings in his three starts this month.
