Dwayne Haskins Jr. Violates COVID-19 Protocols
4 years agoThe Washington Football Team is aware of social-media posts that showed quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. partying maskless at a gentleman's club after the Week 15 loss to the Seahawks. Washington has been in contact with the NFL about the matter and is handling the situation internally. Haskins has issued a public apology for his actions. Washington has no plans to release Haskins, who was fined for a previous violation of the COVID-19 protocols. His actions were considered high-risk COVID-19 conduct, punishable by a maximum fine of one week's salary or a suspension of up to four games. Haskins started in Week 15 in place of Alex Smith (calf), who is day-to-day, but Washington could be down to Taylor Heinicke if Haskins is suspended and Smith cannot play. That would obviously be bad news for all of Washington's offensive skill players against Carolina.
