Dustin May Will Face Restrictions In 2023
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said right-hander Dustin May will be under some limitations in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery this year, but the Dodgers haven't exactly decided what that entails. "But I'm excited for him to start the season healthy and not being in that rehab mode," Roberts added. The 25-year-old hard-throwing right-hander returned in 2022 to make six starts, giving up 15 earned runs on 21 hits while walking 14 and striking out 29 in 30 innings pitched for the Blue. To help keep his innings low, the Dodgers will likely skip his turn in the rotation at times, and he could also be moved to the bullpen temporarily. May pitched pretty well, all things considered last year, and his strikeout upside cannot be ignored. 2023 isn't the year to draft his full ceiling.
