Ducks Pick Up Alex Stalock
1 year agoThe Anaheim Ducks have signed goaltender Alex Stalock to a one-year, $800,000 contract. The veteran netminder will be suiting up for his fourth NHL team in 2023-24 after also playing in San Jose, Minnesota, and Chicago. Stalock went 9-15-2 last season with the struggling Blackhawks, giving up 3.01 goals per game with a .908 save percentage. He owns a 70-65-20 career record and has put in solid work as a backup wherever he has been. By bringing in Stalock, the Ducks get an experienced backup for their No. 1 goaltender John Gibson. Anthony Stolarz filled the spot last season with youngster Lukas Dostal, but he moved on to Florida this summer.
