Dricus Du Plessis defended his middleweight title with a five-round decision win over Sean Strickland at UFC 312. Du Plessis entered the bout as the betting favorite and he dominated Strickland in the rematch as he landed the better strikes and more strikes. The champ put an exclamation mark on his win by breaking Strickland's nose in the fourth round. With the win, Du Plessis is 23-2 and will now likely face Khamzat Chimaev next.--Cole Shelton
