Drew Lock Has Chance For One Final Good Impression
4 years agoThe jury is still out on Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock with one game remaining in his first full year as the starting QB. While general manager John Elway saw some positives in the second-year signal-caller's development in 2020, there have been plenty of negatives, too. Lock has 19 turnovers (15 interceptions, four fumbles lost) and has displayed accuracy and decision-making issues. He's avoided throwing an interception in just four games this season while completing just 57 percent of his passes for a passer rating of 72.5 in 12 games. The 24-year-old has more picks (15) than touchdowns (14) and will remain a low-end QB2 for Week 17 against the Raiders, a team he threw four interceptions against in their first meeting. Lock should have another chance to prove his doubters wrong in 2021 and has some upside given Denver's youth on offense, but the Broncos could bring in some competition to push him.
