3 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Donovan Solano was placed on the unspecified injured list on Thursday, which usually hints at a COVID-19 vaccine after-effect. In a corresponding move, infielder Thairo Estrada was called up to the active roster. Solano has been productive this year in a limited role (.275/.333/.394 with six home runs and 30 RBI in 287 at-bats), but he has recently been sharing playing time at second base with Tommy La Stella. It has left the 33-year-old with very little fantasy value in much deeper NL-only leagues. Estrada will provide the Giants with more infield depth for as long as Solano remains in the league's COVID-19 protocols.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
