Donald Parham Jr. 2022 NFL Player Outlook – Bargain-Bin Tight End With Intriguing Upside
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham Jr. could smash his draft position if things go right. He is currently 31st in the latest Rotoballer tight end rankings. The Chargers decided not to bring back Jared Cook but signed Gerald Everett from Seattle to a two-year, $12-million contract. Everett is fully expected to be the primary pass-catching tight end for Justin Herbert, but it's not as if there's no chance for Parham to produce. Everett has been just a middle-of-the-road player at the position, with the best season of his career producing just 48 catches, 478 yards, and four touchdowns. In Parham's first two seasons, he notched 30 receptions, 190 yards, and six touchdowns. The 6-foot-8 Parham has the tools to be a red zone weapon; at just 24 years old, he could step into his prime in 2022. Ultimately, fantasy managers should be interested in any pass-catcher who has a chance to be on the receiving end of Hebert's passes. The Stetson product could flat-out supplant Everett as the starting tight end or find his way into opportunity via injury. There is a wide range of outcomes here, so if you can't land a premier tight end, Parham could be an option.
