Dolphins Sign Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa To Four-Year Deal
5 years agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has officially agreed to a four-year deal worth $30.2 million. The deal comes with a fifth-year option, but that is the case for all first-round draft picks. Tagovailoa will receive a $19.6 million signing bonus, and it's fully guaranteed. The Alabama quarterback was headed towards being the No. 1 overall pick, but having season-ending hip surgery crushed those dreams. The Dolphins took Tagovailoa with the No. 5 overall selection during the 2020 NFL Draft. There are obvious injury concerns, but Tagovailoa could be their franchise quarterback, assuming he's able to stay healthy. He's expected to compete for the starting quarterback spot with Ryan Fitzpatrick during training camp.
