Dolphins Not Expected To Pursue Tom Brady
2 years agoThe Miami Dolphins are not expected to pursue Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent quarterback Tom Brady should he decide he wants to continue playing in 2023, according to league sources. Brady remains undecided on his plans for next season, but the seven-time Super Bowl champion will be an unrestricted free agent in March and will likely draw attention from multiple teams. Despite more injuries in 2022, the Dolphins remain committed to Tua Tagovailoa as their QB of the future and were pleased with his development this year under first-year head coach Mike McDaniel. Brady, who turns 46 in August, can't be franchise-tagged by Tampa due to a no-tag clause in his contract. Brady threw for 4,694 yards (third-most in the league) and 25 touchdowns, but he'll be a low-end QB1, at best, if he returns to play in 2023.
