Dodgers Could Be Lurking For Trevor Bauer, DJ LeMahieu
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers could be in play for free-agent starting pitcher Trevor Bauer and second baseman DJ LeMahieu. If Bauer goes for the longest contract worth the most money, he's unlikely to land with the Dodgers. But if he would consider a short-term deal, the Dodgers could be a great fit, as long as they're willing to go over the luxury tax threshold. Bauer would join Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw at the top of the rotation, with David Price, Tony Gonsolin, Dustin May and Julio Urias behind them. LeMahieu could play third base in LA if the Dodgers don't re-sign Justin Turner, or second base if Gavin Lux is in a utility role. The Dodgers offer a professional, winning environment that made him enjoy his time with the Yankees. Los Angeles remains in play, but as of right now, it seems more likely that LeMahieu will stay in New York, with either the Yankees or the Mets.
