Diego Castillo 2020 Outlook: Plenty of Strikeouts in an Undefined Role
5 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Diego Castillo is a strange fantasy asset because of his role in the Tampa Bay bullpen. Castillo has worked as an opener often in the past two seasons, recording 17 "starts" without ever really being a starting pitcher. Castillo consistently puts up solid strikeout numbers and good ERAs, but his role as an opener limits his upside in holds leagues, and he is somewhat behind on the closer totem pole. Still, he has the talent to make an impact in deeper formats.
