4 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks confirmed a one-year, $1.75 million deal with infielder Asdrubal Cabrera on Monday. The 35-year-old was in spring camp on Monday when the team went through their first full-squad workout. Cabrera made $925,926 in prorated pay from a $2.5 million salary last season in 52 games for the Washington Nationals during the shortened 2020 campaign. The Venezuelan veteran is expected to serve in a utility infield role for the Snakes this season and could see time at first, second and third base in the desert. He slashed .242/.305/.447 with eight home runs and 31 RBI in 52 games for the Nats last year. Because he's unlikely to start every day, Cabrera can be ignored in mixed fantasy leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
