Diamondbacks Calling Up Dominic Fletcher
1 year agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks are calling up outfield prospect Dominic Fletcher from Triple-A Reno on Friday, according to sources. The team's No. 14 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, is the brother of Angels infielder David Fletcher, and the two will be facing each other on Friday evening. The 25-year-old left-handed hitter played his first 22 major-league games earlier this year and hit an impressive .308 (24-for-78) with two homers, five doubles, a triple and 13 RBI. At Reno, he was hitting a strong .325 (49-for-151) with three homers, seven doubles, five triples, 20 RBI and 36 runs in 35 games. Fletcher has the potential to hit double-digit homers in a full big-league season, but he's better known for spraying the ball the other way.
