Devonta Freeman Returns To Practice
4 years agoNew York Giants running back Devonta Freeman (ankle) has returned to practice, opening the three-week window for the team to activate him from Injured Reserve. Freeman was officially activated from the COVID-19 list on Thursday after being placed on it two weeks ago. The former Falcons back could play in Week 15 against the Browns on Sunday night, but that's unlikely at this juncture in the week. The 28-year-old hasn't played since Week 7 against the Eagles and was likely already dropped in most fantasy leagues. He has 54 carries for 172 yards (3.2 yards per carry) and one touchdown in five games, adding seven receptions for 58 yards on 10 targets. Wayne Gallman has taken over as the team's lead back and will be an RB2 against Cleveland this weekend.
