De'Von Achane Could Have Prominent Role Sooner Than Later
1 year agoMiami Dolphins rookie third-round running back De'Von Achane has already looked like one of the team's more explosive offensive players this offseason, although his practice production must be taken with a grain of salt until the pads go on in training camp. But Achane showed prowess as a pass-catcher and home run hitter after the catch in non-padded team drills. Miami also has Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. in their backfield, but head coach Mike McDaniel lobbied heavily to select Achane in the draft, and they could have big plans for him in his rookie season, at least as a pass-catcher. Touches could be limited for the 21-year-old in his first NFL campaign, but he probably already has the most fantasy upside of all of Miami's backs in PPR leagues.
