Devin Bush 2020 Outlook: Will The Real Devin Bush Stand Up?
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush was an IDP monster throughout the first six weeks of his rookie season, collecting 32 solo tackles, one sack, one touchdown, three passes defended, two interceptions, and four fumble recoveries. In his final 10 games, however, Bush accumulated only 40 solo tackles, no sacks, no touchdowns, and he forced only one turnover. This drop in production may have been attributable to an ankle injury that he suffered in Week 6, or it could have been that he simply hit the proverbial rookie wall. It is important to note, though, that Bush is an elite athlete who was taken within the top-10 of his draft class for a reason. Given Bush’s pedigree and his film from both college and the pros, it seems likely that he will bounce back to form in 2020. If he can come close to the guy he was the first six weeks of last season, he should be ranked higher than his average IDP rank of LB17 suggests. Rank Bush somewhere closer to LB11 instead, knowing he has the potential to be one of the best players at his position on any given week.
