Devan Dubnyk Propels Wild to Game Three Victory
7 years agoTalk about the difference a change of scenery can make. The Canadian goaltender had given up a total of seven goals between Games 1 and 2 against the Winnipeg Jets at the Bell MTS Place. On Sunday, goalie Devan Dubnyk put in a monster performance in which he registered 29 saves on 31 shots alongside a .935 save percentage en route to a 6-2 Minnesota Wild victory. Unlike Games 1 and 2, Dubnyk was gifted an offensive showing from his teammates that no doubt helped ease his mind. The Wild are down two games to one in the series against the Jets and best believe that if they are to stand any chance, they need consistent goaltending support from Dubnyk. It’s hard to recommend any goaltender playing against the NHL’s second best regular season team, but Dubnyk has looked solid at home all season.
