D'Ernest Johnson Gets Involved In The Backfield
2 years agoIn a 32-13 blowout win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night, Cleveland Browns running back D'Ernest Johnson saw his first carries of the season with the team resting Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt late in the fourth quarter. Johnson finished with four carries for 17 yards on the ground and was not targeted in the passing game on 11 percent of the offensive snaps. Entering the game, he had played only 10 offensive snaps in five games for Cleveland. The 26-year-old had a 100-yard game last year with both Chubb and Hunt injured, but he has zero fantasy appeal as the No. 3 on the depth chart. However, if Hunt or Johnson himself are traded before Tuesday's deadline, Johnson could become more appealing in deeper fantasy formats.
