Denny Hamlin Will Compete As A Top DFS Darlington Pick
3 months agoDenny Hamlin will start 14th in this week's Cookout Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. This will be the second-worst starting position at Darlington for Hamlin since the Next-Gen car was introduced in 2022. In 24 starts at the South Carolina track, Hamlin leads all active drivers in wins (four), top-10 finishes (17), and laps led (979). The No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing driver also led in the last nine Cup events at the site and nabbed a Driver Rating over 100 in three of the five races there since 2022. Through 25 races this season, Hamlin has three wins and 11 top-10 finishes, including three of the last five Cup events, and leads all drivers in laps led (896). In practice, Hamlin ranked 16th in overall lap averages and the best five consecutive lap averages. With Darlington being one of his top tracks, Hamlin is always expected to compete for a top position and is an easy recommendation for any DFS contest.
