7/11:Seattle Mariners outfielder Denard Span will face Angels expected starter Jaime Barria Wednesday night. The left-handed hitting Span has had success against right-handers this season, slashing .304/.352/.544 with one triple, four home runs and five doubles in 79 at-bats this season. The 34-year-old has been a solid addition to the Mariners since being acquired via trade. In 110 at-bats in a Mariners uniform, Span is hitting .300 with a .482 slugging percentage. He has taken a more aggressive approach at the plate in Seattle than with Tampa Bay and the results have been positive. He currently is slashing .320/.352/.540 over his last 50 at-bats and is a player on the rise among fantasy outfielders heading towards the end of the first half of the season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
