Recent Update

1 week agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Jaime Barria will start against the Rangers on Tuesday, pushing Matt Harvey back to Wednesday. The right-hander will take the rotation spot of Tyler Skaggs (ankle) for the time being, but he could secure a rotation spot if he pitches well. The 22-year-old was decent in his 26 starts a year ago, going 10-9 with a 3.41 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. Barria doesn't strike out a ton of hitters, but he can be a worthy matchup play in deeper leagues. We wouldn't necessarily recommend him on Tuesday against an underrated Texas lineup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
