Dee Gordon Starting Rehab Assignment, J.P. Crawford Behind
6 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Dee Gordon (wrist) will be starting his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Friday and could rejoin the team early next week. Meanwhile, shortstop J.P. Crawford (ankle) is a little bit behind Gordon. Seattle's starting middle infield tandem should both return relatively soon, so that's great news for them. Gordon's speed is his best asset for fantasy owners. He's hitting .281/.310/.369 with three homers, 16 runs, 19 RBI and 12 thefts in 160 at-bats. Gordon should be owned in all leagues. Crawford is the team's shortstop of the future and was hitting well before his injury, so hopefully he can pick up where he left off. Tim Beckham and Shed Long have mainly been filling in up the middle.
