DeAndre Hopkins Will Be Flexible With Contract
2 years agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins admitted on The Pat McAfee Show this week that he's "been hearing a lot of trade talks." If Hopkins were to be traded this offseason, sources are saying he'd be flexible on the last two years of his contract instead of shooting for a top-of-the-market deal. He's set to make $19.5 million this year and $14.9 million in 2024, but interested teams may need to shed more salary cap space before taking on Hopkins' remaining contract in a trade. The 30-year-old five-time Pro Bowler still has a lot of good football left in him, but he has disappointed the last two seasons with the Cardinals due to injury and suspension, catching a combined 106 passes for 1,289 yards and 11 touchdowns in 19 total games. Perhaps a change of scenery will get him back on track.
