DeAndre Hopkins 2018 Outlook: Is Improvement Possible?
6 years agoTexans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was the top fantasy WR in 2017, despite the tandem of Tom Savage and T.J. Yates behind center for 10 games. With a full season of phenom Deshaun Watson potentially throwing passes his way, could Hopkins actually improve?
He scored a league-high 13 touchdowns and caught 96 of 174 targets. His reception and yardage totals were lower than his 2015 breakout campaign, so we know the ceiling is higher. While Antonio Brown is undoubtedly the safest wide receiver available, Nuk has the most potential and can be considered a strong candidate for the overall WR1 in all draft formats and a top-five pick.
