David Njoku Expected To Miss 2-5 Weeks
2 years agoUpdating a previous report, further testing showed that Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He will not require surgery but is expected to be out for two to five weeks, according to a source. It's a tough break for Njoku and his fantasy managers, as the 26-year-old was in the midst of a breakout season for Cleveland, catching 34 of his 42 targets for 418 yards and a touchdown in seven games. He's worth stashing in an Injured Reserve spot if you have the roster space. Harrison Bryant will now take on a much bigger pass-catching role with Njoku sidelined, but he'll merely be a TE2 streamer in Cleveland's run-first offense.
