7 years agoBoston Bruins forward David Backes returned to action on Thursday night after missing the last five games recovering from a leg laceration. Backes wasted no time in doing what he does best, collecting periphery stats while recording two penalty minutes, three shots on goal and four hits in 15:08 of ice time. Backes has always had value in fantasy formats that reward hits and penalty minutes, and with back-to-back games this weekend against two teams inside the top 10 in major penalties earned (Florida and Philadelphia), Backes should continue to provide that value.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
