New York Giants co-owner John Mara announced on Wednesday that general manager Dave Gettleman will return for a fourth season with the same title and responsibilities in 2021. Mara said he "really didn't contemplate" firing Gettleman despite the team's 6-10 record this year. Mara thought Gettleman and head coach Joe Judge "worked very well together" and didn't think bringing in a new GM would be beneficial. The Giants are 15-33 with Gettleman at the helm, losing at least 10 games each season. Mara said that Gettleman's long-term status won't be determined by the team's record next year. The 69-year-old was hired to replace Jerry Reese late in 2017 and is only the fourth GM since 1979 for New York. The Giants did hit on free-agent acquisitions in cornerback James Bradberry, linebacker Blake Martinez and safety Logan Ryan from last offseason.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
