Davante Adams Could Force His Release
The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt writes that New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams is unlikely to want to return in 2025 with the team parting ways with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and Adams' contract is structured in a way that would give him the power to ultimately force his release. Adams has a $38.25 million salary cap hit in 2025, although none of his $35.6 million salary is guaranteed. The expectation is that New York will cut or trade Adams and save $29.8 million in cap space while taking on $8.3 million in dead money. It's unclear where the 32-year-old veteran will end up, but it's possible he'll follow Rodgers to another team if Rodgers doesn't retire. Although the Jets couldn't turn things around after trading for Adams, he ended up finishing with his fifth straight 1,000-yard season despite playing in only 14 regular-season games.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (quadriceps) has been ruled out for the Week 4 matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football, the team announced ahead of the game. Kyle Monangai's Fantasy Value Jumps After Week 4 Breakout
Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai just made this backfield much more interesting for fantasy managers. Monangai entered Sunday with exactly 10 carries in each of Chicago's first three games, then handled 30 of them for 146 yards and two touchdowns in the 23-12 win over the Jets. He scored from one yard out in the first quarter and found the end zone again from five yards in the third. The second score came after D'Andre Swift lost a fumble on Chicago's previous possession, and the Bears continued to lean heavily on Monangai the rest of the afternoon. Swift still had 15 carries for 58 yards, so this does not automatically make Monangai the unquestioned lead back going forward. It does make the split much harder to predict. Monangai matched his carry total from the first three weeks in one game and made the most of it, giving his fantasy value a significant boost coming out of Week 4.

Emanuel Wilson Getting First-Team Reps in Warmups
Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson appears set to get the start Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Corbin K. Smith reported that Wilson took the first running back reps during pregame warmups with Jadarian Price (chest) on injured reserve.
