Darrell Henderson Jr. Won't Play In Week 12
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said that it's too early for running back Darrell Henderson Jr. to play in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday after the team just claimed him off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams a couple of days ago. But Pederson did say that the team "loves his physicality, he's a downhill guy." Travis Etienne Jr. will remain Jacksonville's primary running back, but Henderson will provide a between-the-tackles presence behind him once he's up to speed with his new offensive playbook. The 25-year-old led the Rams with 70 carries for 283 yards and three touchdowns while adding 17 catches for 102 yards on 22 targets before he was waived. For now, Henderson will merely be a handcuff option for those that have Etienne rostered.
