Darrel Williams Being Evaluated For Concussion
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams (concussion) is being evaluated for a concussion during the team's preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Friday. Before the head injury, Williams had two carries for two yards and caught his lone target for an eight-yard gain. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the primary running back in Kansas City, but Williams has value as a handcuff, at the very least, as the No. 2 in this explosive offense. Jerick McKinnon could gain some ground on Williams for the No. 2 job if his head injury keeps him out for a while, but there's still plenty of time for Williams to recover before Week 1. The 26-year-old is primarily a short-yardage back, but he'd have significant fantasy value if anything were to happen to Edwards-Helaire in 2021.
