Darius Slay's Injury Isn't Serious
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay (knee) left the team's Week 13 loss to the Packers with a knee injury, but he's not believed to have suffered a serious injury, according to a source. It's good news for an Eagles secondary that will have a tall task against the Saints in Week 14. If Slay can get in some practice time this week, he'll likely be tasked with trying to slow down wide receiver Michael Thomas, who put up his second 100-yard game of the season on 11 targets in the win over the Falcons in Week 13. Philadelphia's defense ranks 10th in the league in terms of overall fantasy points, but they rank 15th in the NFL in the last five weeks and allow the eight-most rushing yards per game (129.9) on the season. That doesn't bode well for them in the upcoming matchup against New Orleans.
