Darcy Kuemper Logs Fifth Shutout Of The Season
2 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper moved to five shutouts for the year when he played a perfect game Thursday versus Arizona. He made 26 saves against his former team in a 4-0 victory. Dylan Strome also had a revenge game against the Coyotes with two goals. Kuemper already led the league in shutouts and he now has a comfortable lead in the category. His debut campaign in Washington got off to a rough start, but Kuemper has since then gotten better with each passing week and has become one of the top goalies in fantasy hockey again. He boasts a 14-11-4 record with a 2.46 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. The Capitals No. 1 has gone 9-3-3 in his last 15 starts, posting four shutouts along the way.
