Toronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen (hand) is out of action on Friday as the team takes on the visiting Chicago Cubs. Jansen was hit in the hand by a pitch on Thursday against the Cleveland Guardians and had to leave the contest early, but he's considered day-to-day after X-rays came back negative. The 28-year-old backstop was officially diagnosed with a right-hand contusion, so he'll have a chance to return as early as Saturday. Alejandro Kirk will do the catching on Friday and bat eighth against Cubs right-hander Javier Assad. Jansen provides fantasy managers with more power (15 home runs, 49 RBI) than Kirk, but he's batting just .218 (52-for-239) with a weak .289 on-base percentage on the year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
