Danny Green Splashes Four Triples
6 years agoToronto Raptors shooting guard Danny Green found his stroke from three-point range against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. He scored 15 points, on 4-for-8 shooting, including 4-for-7 from three-point range. Green added eight rebounds, one steal, and one block to fill out his stat line. It appears to be a big bounce-back season for Green, as he’s finally healthy, after playing through most of last year with a hamstring injury. While he may not be in his prime anymore, a top-75 season appears likely. Especially if Green can continue his great shooting from distance. Through six games, he’s shooting 45.0 percent from three and with the open looks, the Raptors are generating for him he should continue to shoot the ball well. That along with his strong contributions in steals and blocks makes him a solid pick-up off the waiver wire. His next game is against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday and it may be a little tougher for Green. Demonstrated by the fact that the Bucks have the sixth best three-point defense in the NBA, giving up just 32.7 percent on three’s as a team.
