Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Daniil Tarasov sustained a lower-body injury and didn't play in the final period of Saturday's 7-4 loss to Carolina. The young Russian performed very well until getting injured, stopping 31 of 33 shots. Elvis Merzlikins came in for the third period and couldn't hold on to a 4-2 lead, giving up four goals on 15 shots. This was Tarasov's fourth appearance of the season. He's yet to win a game, but the 22-year-old has recorded a nice 2.23 goals-against average with a .937 save percentage. The team hasn't yet provided an update on Tarasov's status.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
