D'Angelo Russell Heading Back To Los Angeles
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers acquired guard D'Angelo Russell, along with Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt, on Wednesday night as part of a three-team deal. Utah will receive former MVP, Russell Westbrook, while Minnesota will get Mike Conley. Russell, who was drafted by the Lakers using the No. 2 overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft, will now join LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The 26-year-old has averaged 17.9 points, 6.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and shot a career-high 39.1% from deep in 54 games this season. Although Russell has to contend with Davis and James for scoring chances, a change in scenery may be beneficial for fantasy managers.
