3 years agoDetroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (shoulder) could miss multiple weeks with his sprained shoulder, according to a source. Swift wants to return quickly, but the Lions will be cautious with their No. 1 running back after he hurt his AC joint. The 22-year-old has almost 1,000 total yards this year and six touchdowns, but it doesn't make sense for the winless Lions to rush him back in yet another lost season. Jamaal Williams was a popular waiver-wire pickup in leagues where he was still available with Swift not expected to play in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings, and he'll have RB2 upside in an expanded role against a Minnesota defense that surrenders the third-most rushing yards per game (134.4) in 2021.
