D'Andre Swift, Brock Wright At Practice Thursday
2 years agoDetroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) and tight end Brock Wright (concussion) were both seen at practice on Thursday, with Wright donning a red no-contact shirt. Neither Swift nor Wright practiced on Wednesday, so it's improvement heading into the Week 9 game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Swift returned from a three-game absence in Week 8 but didn't see all that much action and still isn't 100 percent healthy. If the 23-year-old plays this weekend, he's likely to share the workload with Jamaal Williams once again, making him a touchdown-dependent, low-end RB2. Wright will need to be cleared from the league's concussion protocol in order to play on Sunday, and if he does, he'll be the No. 1 pass-catching tight end with T.J. Hockenson now in Minnesota.
