2 years agoHouston Texans rookie running back Dameon Pierce (ankle) will not play in Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, according to league sources. Pierce wasn't able to practice all week and could be in danger of missing next week's game against the Tennessee Titans on Saturday as well. The 22-year-old leads all rookie running backs in 2022 with 939 yards and four touchdowns on 220 carries over 13 games played. He's also added 30 receptions on 39 targets for 165 yards and another score through the air. With Pierce sidelined, veteran Rex Burkhead is expected to see most of the backfield touches, and he could be pretty busy as a pass-catcher with both Brandin Cooks (calf) and Nico Collins (foot) out for a second straight game. Dare Ogunbowale will also be asked to step up in a change-of-pace role behind Burkhead.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
