Dalvin Cook Listed As DNP Monday
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (shoulder) was listed as a DNP on the team's estimated practice report on Monday. Cook dislocated his left shoulder and suffered a torn left labrum in Week 12 and sat out in Week 13 as a result. The Vikings aren't ruling Cook out yet for Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Cook isn't expected to play in Week 14. It would be a pretty big surprise if Alexander Mattison didn't see a second straight start this week after handling 22 of the team's 24 rushing attempts in the Week 13 loss to the Detroit Lions. Mattison had 90 rushing yards and a touchdown and also caught all three of his targets for 34 additional yards. Against a Steelers defense allowing 130.9 rushing yards per game this year, Mattison will at least be a high-end RB2 if Cook misses his second straight game.
