Dalton Schultz Sits Out Monday
1 year agoHouston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (ribs) was unable to practice at training camp on Monday. "Yeah, Dalton [Schultz] took a shot to the side. He'll be alright. He's just managing that today. Day off, he'll be back out there soon," head coach DeMeco Ryans said. Schultz took a shot to his ribs in practice on Sunday, but it's not a serious injury and he should be back out there soon. The 27-year-old is in his first year with the Texans and is expected to be the primary pass-catching tight end, likely for first-round rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud for most, if not all, of the year. Many folks are expecting regression from Schultz in 2023 in a downgrade to Houston's offense with a rookie QB. At best, consider Schultz a low-end TE1.
