Dalano Banton Impresses In Spot Start
2 years agoToronto Raptors guard Dalano Banton had an impressive outing in Monday's 115-111 road victory over Detroit, leading all scorers with a career-high 27 points and posting a number of other personal bests. He ran the show on the backcourt with both Fred VanVleet (illness) and Gary Trent Jr. (hip) out, adding four rebounds and four assists to his line with three steals and two blocks in 25 minutes. The Toronto native hit 3-for-7 from deep and shot 9-for-16 overall from the field with a 6-for-6 effort at the foul line. This was a special night for the 23-year-old and Banton played himself on the fantasy map. He could star again Wednesday versus Miami if the Raptors can't get their backcourt healthy.
