Dak Prescott Suffers Calf Strain, In Protective Boot
3 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (calf) was in a protective boot after the Week 6 overtime win over the New England Patriots with what the team is calling a right calf strain. Prescott will be re-evaluated on Monday after coming down with the injury on the final play of the game in which he tossed a game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Prescott went 36-for-51 for 445 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the big win, also losing a fumble on three carries. The 28-year-old said he plans to play through his calf injury, and it'll help that Dallas has the week off before facing the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8. As long as Prescott is active in two weeks, he'll be a no-brainer QB1. If Prescott isn't ready to roll in Week 8, Cooper Rush would likely get the start under center for the Cowboys.
