Dak Prescott Is Dallas' QB Of The Future
5 years agoDallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones reiterated that quarterback Dak Prescott is "our quarterback of the future." Jones also said that the team was "real, real, real close" to signing Prescott to a long-term extension before the 2019 season. Despite a disappointing finish and missing the playoffs, Prescott had a career-high 4,902 yards while throwing for 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions on a 65.1 completion percentage. There's a chance that Dallas uses the franchise tag on Prescott, but in the end he should remain with the organization in at least 2020 and likely well beyond. He finished as the No. 3 scoring fantasy QB behind Lamar Jackson and Jameis Winston this year and will be a strong QB1 selection in 2020 drafts if he remains in Dallas.
